Rights and Royalties
Rights and royalties for a play refer to the legal permissions and payments associated with producing or performing the work. Rights grant the license to stage the play, and royalties are fees paid to the playwright or rights holder based on ticket sales or performances. New Classics is devoted to bringing new works to all audiences, so if you feel your company or school qualifies for a special discount, please contact newclassicsplays@gmail.com for more information.
Full-length plays: $80.00 per performance
Young audiences & one act plays: $65.00 per performance

Touring Productions for Young Audiences:
1-18 performances = $65 per
18-30 performances = $45 per
31-100 performances = $25 per
Any additional performances after the 100 are free of royalty charges
ALL PERFORMANCES MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN A 12-MONTH PERIOD.
After 12-months from opening, the royalties must be re-negotiated.

Commisions
The playwrights of New Classics are open to and interested in creating specially commissioned pieces. Fees for commissioned work currently run between $900-$2000, depending upon the nature of the project.
